Camber Parish Council has 7 Councillors and two part time members of staff. They do not have a parish office and their meetings are held at 7.30pm on the third Tuesday of each month (except August) in the Memorial Hall, Lydd Road, Camber.
The Parish Council manage the middle part of Johnson's Field which is home to a Multi Use Games Area, Skateboard equipment, goal posts and benches and picnic tables. They also have responsibility for Jubilee Green and the Under 11s play equipment installed there. Both these areas are on a long lease from East Sussex County Council and Rother District Council respectively. There are Allotment Plots in Yates Close which are also managed by the Parish Council.
The Parish Council also installed and maintain the 3 bus shelters, some of the posts on the verges and the street lights in the village, except for those at White Sands which were installed later as part of the development. The traffic calming gateways at either end of the village are also maintained by the Parish Council.
Summer in East Sussex brings visitors and locals alike into the fresh air, enjoying the countryside and the coast.
We want people to have fun and stay safe.
